For some reason the pad for the ironing board cover is missing.  I have been using an old valance as a sort of pressing cloth.

This is really a fabric with nine lives.  It was once a comforter.  Then I used it to make a pad around the fireplace (to protect little toddler heads).   Now here it is on the ironing board.

Here it is sticking out from under the original cover.  I think I’ll make the valance into a proper cover for it.

Though I don’t know what actually happened, I imagine my husband at 6:00 AM cursing and yanking the ironing board pad that had gotten askew off of the board and tossing it into the trash.  But who knows of it’s demise?
